Can anyone identify these "white bumps" as scale? I found this at the very base of one of my zuchinni bushes. this plant is about two months old. If these are scale; what can I do to save the plant.
It shares a large conatiner with a volunteer mamoth sunflower. Both plant were/are doing very well. I just discovered these white bumps yesterday.

Looks to me more like some sort of exudate from the plant itself...
