Good day. A few days ago I noticed two critters crawling around at work. Did some searching online to figure out what it was but didn't find anything definitive. Bought some roach poison bait guessing they're roaches based on what I could find. Several days went by without a sighting but now it looks like one has grown but can't figure out exactly what it is. Attaching a picture. It ended up crawling inside what it was sitting on. We tried shaking it out but no luck of it coming out but other miscellaneous debris did fall out. Looked like brown dirt and some did look like bug bits. Upon sweeping the debris up the critter ended up scurrying away behind cover. So we took his initial hiding spot, boxed it up and sealed it to see if that was his home. After some time he is poking his head up from behind his cover almost like he was indeed living in the device. So in summary : what is it? Could it have indeed been living inside said device?
Thank you very much in advance.
My initial thinking is it's a growing German cockroach, but of the searches I've done none seem to have this critters shape.

Also, the device was received on the 8th (June) but we had not seen anything until the 16th. Is I possible it/they were hiding there the whole time or more likely that they made it their new home?

Sure looks more like a cockroach nymph (maybe a German cockroach) than anything else i can think of. These insects are noted for their ability to 'hitchhike' on/in many items...
