From Azalea (PJ). She's so wonderful, what a great friend. She brought plants galore, seeds and her garden book, which was full of gorgeous pictures of her yard, pool and roses.
Thanks PJ, I really had a great time, and hope you'll come back again.
Now to get ready for GRC's visit:)
Just had a great visit
I'll be there tomorrow. Wish I had known Azalea was coming I would have paid a visit at the same time.
ack!! I thought you would be working/sleeping. Sorry:(
Well I did work last night but I would have slept early this morning and headed there. I can hardly wait for your spring get together. I guess I'll meet her then.
Lucky you meeting up with DG friends - it's so special isn't it!!
Yes, Tig & I had a very nice visit - and she's really generous too. Left with more than I came with. Sorry Jim, she told me after I got there that you were coming tomorrow, I could have waited one more day had I known. We must plan to meet there in the spring tho, if not sooner. it's really neat to put a face with a name - I had her pictured as big and fat and older, don't know why!! She small and cute and much too youg looking to be a grandmother!! You are all welcome to come and see me too.

The first words out of my mouth when I met her were, "did say you were a grandmother well where is the wrinkles and gray hair."
Azalea I did work last night but I could have stayed up and come there. When I don't have to work I never go to bed the next day. I just spend my sleeping time on Dave's. Did doze off once today with the mouse in my hand. I have to type everything two or three times because I become a zombie with these fingers. We'll have to plan a get together with Traci and Molly also before long. Jim
And she makes GREAT iced tea!! Yes, I'd like to meet them all, that's why I tried to have the plant swap here last Sept.. It was fun but only 3 came. I'll try it again next summer when things look better. Wouldn't want you to go to sleep on the road.
Tig is sort of my idle tho, she always comes up with good answers and adds so much to Dave's, I feel like I've known her for years.
Hey ya'll!! all this talk about a visit with tiG makes me want to come now instaed of waiting until spring!! Let me talk with Traci and see if we can't work up a trip to tiG's house and GaRedClay...be prepared to come on over because we'd be glad to meet you there as well!
I'll get back to ya when I talk to Traci, K?
y'all come on down! I honestly wasn't trying to keep you two apart!!! LOL! I love the GA gang, nothing like em. Azalea sent me the sweetest card after she got home, you just can't go wrong with friends like all of you.
Don't ya just wish we could have a big hoe-down and all of Dave's could be here????
Naw tiG my heart couldn't take the pleasure. Can you imagine all of the whole gang in a big building and all of us trying to talk at once. The walls would shake with all the tales about plants going round. It would be set up in lover groups. All Brug lovers here in this corner. All elephant ear lovers in another corner. What pressure trying to decide what corner to go sit in. It would probable be the only time we sit in a corner and loved it.
tiG and Azalea, that's great! There's a group of us in Tennessee that have all put faces with names, and it is so nice to see someone post, and you KNOW them! Glad the Georgia group has done the same thing.
If things work out according to plan, I'll get to meet Smiln32 next week, on her way to St. Louis. This place makes me think of the song, "It's a Small World" - not only is gardening a small world, but a very nice world, too :)
go vols I plan on the reunion next year and thinking I'll meet you makes me wish my life away. Hurry up August and get here.
Oh No Jim - we just can't wait til August!!! Tig says Spring, & I'd like to think about June for my place!!, or maybe we could even plan a monthly thing at different places! Just daydremin, but it's a thought.
oh, that's cool!!! I like that Azalea!!!
Well, I'm just going to have to move to Georgia...or Tenn. Have a wonderful cousin I visit in August, Ga, and a Son in Crosville, TN...better put the dawgs (no pun here) watchin out for me or I'll pop in too! Jo
The more, the merrier!!
Absolutely! You get as close as Crossville, be sure to give a shout!!!
Hey, DH and I will be in Montgomery, AL a few days in late March...That's only about 2 hours from tiG...What about lunch together somewhere one day?
oh please!!!!!!!!!!! please please please, don't pass me by:)
Oh, my - I feel a road trip coming on. Long about April :) Seriously, we should pick a spot on the map and meet if it's convenient for us...there are several folks from this "general area" (within a 150 mile radius) and it could be a lot o' fun!
I agree!! what fun, and sure something to look forward to.
