CLOSED: really really unusual fly

hello

last summer ive had a weird encounter with a very unusual insect (and its been "bugging" me to know what it was ever since)

i took pictures but theyre on an old phone and im not sure where it is(or if i even still have it).i will post if i ever find it.

i know its a long shot but maybe somebody could help me identify it trough my description(until i get the pictures).

it was a fly type insect(btw,im in Naples,Italy so think Mediterranean climate...however im pretty sure this devil must have come from africa on a boat or something,hidden in a fruit crate)...the body was very flat,with beige/yellowish and dark brown horizontal stripes.the body shape reminded me of a flattened thick rather than a fly.the wings were transparent but looked very "meaty".and most defining feature was its legs...they were extremely thick compared to the rest of the body.almost looked out of place..and they had these very sharp razor like protuberances(like a barracuda knife).and they were also curved inwards(again,just like a thick).the insect was about 8 mm(0.3inches).

i wouldnt go as far as to think about it for a year and join a forum to ask a question about it if it wasnt for the way this animal behaved....its aggressiveness and speed is what surprised me the most...i couldnt get it off of me...it literaly anchored itsself in the skin of my arm and wouldnt let go...i was slapping,punching...the works...it wouldnt budge.and when i finally managed to get it off it flew right back in a circle(in a fraction of a second) and grabbed onto me again.this went on for a bout a good minute...then it flew on the floor so i started bashing it with something heavy and blunt(dont remember what it was).but the thing seemed unharmed.then it flew somewhere else and i put a jar over it.

my description doesnt really do it justice....you know when sometimes you see an insect and you just instinctively know that this is really bad and you should get the hell away from it?its a combination of unusual/warning features i guess.

and i dont get startled by insects...i kinda like them but the extreme aggressiveness with which this thing pursued me really made me panic...it was relentless and i couldnt get it off of me....

i really wanna know what this thing was...so if anyone could point me to a picture of something that fits the description that'd be great(or at least point me in the right direction)

i dont know why i care so much about this one thing...im not an "ocd" type person...but this just eats at me..

(ps...it didnt bite me or left any sort of marks other than my arm being red from all the slapping i did)

yes thats it...it looked just like that one in the picture...except wider and more brightly colored...more yellow and less black

but its definitely the same family...so it looks like they arent as big of a deal as i thought huh?

it was just a lil shocking to find one of these on the 13th floor of a skyscraper in the middle of the city...theyre nasty and aggressive tho'...i hope i never cross paths with one of these again(yeah i know,i wouldnt survive a day on a farm)
