Could you please help us identify this little spider?
About the size of an adult thumb, black all over (to the nacked eye) and fugly!
We think its a False Widow, but not 100% sure really.
Found in our garage in UK.

This does look like a Steatoda sp., and some in this genus are called 'false widows' - see http://www.uksafari.com/steatodagrossa.htm for an example.
