Why do my seedlings refuse to grow once they are transplanted. I had a large variety of annual, perennial, vegetable and herb seedlings that I transplanted into 5 different garden beds 2 weeks ago and they are stunted. They were properly hardened off before I transplanted them. The leaves are curling under, some of the foliage is losing its green color, well other foliage is turning purple. The soil was amended with 5" of compost this year, yet nothing will grow. I checked the soil ph and it was around 6.5. What am I doing wrong?

Were the seedlings well rooted in their containers before being transplanted?
Also, 5" of compost sounds like it might be overkill.
