CLOSED: what type of insecr is this?
I believe that is a moth chrysalis.
Can you identify the moth? I have lots of these in the garden.
With very few exceptions, it is extremely difficult to identify a moth species in its pupal stage. Many species in the family Noctuidae pupate in the soil, see http://somethingscrawlinginmyhair.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/gray.moth.pupa_.jpg for an example.
