CLOSED: Is this a moth or butterfly?

I found this in the backyard this morning and have no idea what it is. I live in Eastern Ontario and have never seen anything like this before. It's very pretty but looks like a cross between a bat, bird and butterfly, lol

It's a sphinx moth known as the Nessus sphinx -
