What plants will survive year round in an outside container in Chicago? Thank you. Roger

What type of plant are you looking for? Perennial, conifer, bulb, etc.

Container grown plants are more subject to the elements than plants grown in the ground. They dry out faster, get cold faster, and get colder longer. As a result, they're longevity is shortened.
