Well, not a son, really a clone. But it was a catchy title.
Kalanchoe beharensis "Fang" Is an easy houseplant for me. Last summer I broke off a leaf. I cut it into 3 pieces, then it sat on the counter for a week or so, to dry up the moist succulent edge so it would not rot. Then I placed the pieces on well draining potting soil. I watered it every 2-4 weeks over the winter. Voila! New Fang plants. Note the piece with the stem did not make any new plants. I probably should have put it into the soil stem-down. It is still alive, after 9 months. I think I will go turn it over. Propagation by leaf cuttings is sometimes just as easy as that.
