Why does it say NO next to my Thread and every one elses says YES. Am I doing something wrong?

NO means you have nothing new there since you started it or last visited it. If there is something new and you haven't seen it yet, then it will say YES. Maybe the heading (New?) is a bit misleading but it doesn't mean that your thread is old, it just means there is nothing new to the person who has already visited it.
