Lisianthus Germination
What did you try to germinate them Alan?
In potting soil under fluorescent tubes pretty close to a water heater so the room was fairly warm.
I knew nothing about this flower and that court my curiosity. I did a search and it is really a beauty.
I did find this:

It may help.
Temperature: 70 - 80F
Average Germ Time: 10 - 20 days
Light Required: Yes
Depth: Do not cover the seed but press into the soil
Sowing Rate: 3 - 4 seeds per plant
Moisture: Keep seed moist until germination
I've read they are susceptible to damping off, I would try pressing them into a layer of vermiculite and keep them slightly moist until germination and reduce the the air temp after that.
