I have this plant, which grows fabulous yellow flowers and it is very tall. You guys kindly told me it is from Madagascar, but I have forgotten the name..!!! Apologies.
I am in Cyprus and is now the beginning of summer. As you can see the tall stem has lost all color and is black - I assume dead?
What should I do with this? Cut it? Pull it off, trim it?
Help!!!
Thanks in advance
PS - There is a smaller newer one beginning to grow at the base of this.
What to do?
What you have there is a succulent of some sort...don't know which one specifically since I don't grow them.
Your plant is not dead. That one particular stalk has bloomed and needs to be cut off close to the base without damaging the new little one. Many succulents grow like that...after a particular stalk blooms it dies back and a new one appears at ther base.
