Saw this on the wall of my garage. Just wondering what it is?
What kind of fly is this?
It's an ichneumon wasp, maybe in the subfamily Ophioninae - see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/125821528 for an example. Wasps in this subfamily usually parasitize moth caterpillars.
