I just moved into a new home up in PA. The landscaping is in dire need of cleaning up. Coming from the south I don't know anything about conifers.

Could you please tell me what the name of this is and how to trim it. Can I remove limbs to give it a bonsai look? It is too large for this area but I really don't want to remove it. Thanks

With difficulty. It won't re-grow from old wood, so all you can do is thin out the branches and give it a more open structure, you can't make it smaller.
