I found this while vaccuuming along the baseboard/carpet in my bedroom. It appears to be long dead, or perhaps a cast skin? The legs have broken off. I did a thorough inspection of the bedrooms and beds and have found nothing to suggest bed bugs. I submitted to a bed bug forum and a professional said it was nothing bedbug related but that the picture was not clear enough to ID. Does anyone know what this could be? We've had carpet beetles and during my inspection I found a couple beetles as well. Any input is appreciated! Been losing sleep over this...

No bed bugs here - The first image might, and I stress might - be larva or cast skin of a larva of a carpet beetle. Your second image shows a ground beetle (harmless predator) on its back and some unidentifiable object.
Thank you for your reply. The second pic that has the "unidentofiable" big is actually the same one as the first. If you are telling me it certainly isn't a bed bug that offers me relief! I've been spastically inspecting my home and bed and it's making me crazy. I suppose reading horror stories online isn't helping either. Thanks again.
Thank you for the clarification - I now can say that the unidentifiable object definitely does not appear to be a carpet beetle, but what it actually is open to question as none of its appendages remain.
It's hard to tell by the photo, but the top of it looks almost silver, grayish, and the bottom is brown.
One possibility then is it's being a silverfish or firebrat; very common nuisance pests - http://www.extension.umn.edu/garden/insects/find/silverfish-and-firebrats/
