I've had these spiders in my home for years now (they come around more often at certain times of the years). I probably kill a few a week. I thought they might be wolf spiders but the eyes looked a little different than what I can find online. Just want to make sure its not a brown recluse or something else that is dangerous.
CLOSED: What kind of spiders are there?
These are wolf spiders, likely in the genus Rabidosa - see http://www.uky.edu/Ag/CritterFiles/casefile/spiders/wolf/rabidosa.jpg for an example. Recluse spiders basically are a uniform brown in color, except for the violin-shaped marking on the cephalothorax. Also, they only have six eyes, arranged in triads of two eyes each.
Are they harmful?
