A friend took this picture at the Wildflower Center in Austin, TX. He has a vague idea what the taxonomy might be but is looking for clarification. I didn't see anything similar in the BugFiles so thought I would turn to the experts. :)
ID this Damselfly?
I've narrowed it down to the suborder Zygoptera and most likely genus Argia "Dancers".
Nice pic. Not an expert but looks like a Argia apicalis - Blue-fronted Dancer but Powdered Dancer is also possible.
