Campanula p. "Blue Waterfalls"

Jackson, MO(Zone 6b)

I bought "one" Campanula p. "Blue Waterfalls" thinking I could take STEM cuttings and make more of this plant. Is this possible?

Or perhaps, it would be best to use "layering"?

It's certainly too small to divide by basal cuttings. It has nice long stems--so I was hoping I could take stem cuttings.

Or maybe, I should cut the stems off somewhat to give the plant a better chance to adjust to my garden vs. a greenhouse setting?

Lastly, is this a well behaved plant? My climate can be hot and humid in the summer. I am thinking of putting it in good drainage with part shade. I know this is a groundcover, but I am thinking in my climate it will well behaved.

I am also thinking of getting the C. "Dickson's Gold" to mingle with the above plant.

Any Advise would be very helpful.

Birder, it sounds like you're doing fine with your Campanula, Dickson's Gold would look great with Blue Waterfalls.

I read this; "To propagate, simply detach some of the rooted pieces at the edge of the clump and replant or pot up."

Hi birder-
I have had a 'Blue Waterfalls' for 3 or 4 years now. It is the best behaved Campanula I have had.Just a clump, that never really spreads. Of course here summers are cool and very dry. It is on the edge of a rock wall, with a Peony giving afternoon shade. I have not tried to propagate it- let us know if your attempts are successful.

birder - have this plant and would agree with Mipii. Have done the same here with it as well as with C. poscharskyana.

Thanks all.
