HI Everyone.
I really hope someone can help me here. We have conkers on our windowsills as this has proven to keep spiders at bay. However, this has appeared over the past couple of days and I am not sure what it is. I am thinking it is a Spiders Egg Sac but it looks like an Egg or a Stone.
Can anyone identify what this is?

Hmmm - Doesn't look like either an egg sac or cocoon to me - you might try carefully cutting into it with a very sharp knife to see if it might be a fungal growth of some kind...
