this is on some of my plants, not all of them but sooty mold follows it distorting leaves.
I've tried a nicotine wash and sponging with dilute washing up liquid but don't want to use non organic if at all possible. the damn things I can see floating into my garden on the air in the mornings.... HELP.
AT least some of these might be scale insects - http://www.hgtv.com/gardening/16-common-garden-pests/pictures/page-7.html - in which case an insecticidal soap should work.
Cut the worst infected leaves and dispose of those - that should eliminate the bulk of the pests without insecticides. Natria by Bayer has pyrethrin and sulfur in it for insects and fungus which is organic.
