It's a weevil of some sort (family Curculionidae). If it's very small (3.5mm or less), it might be one of the grain weevils in the genus Sitophilus.

If it is a grain weevil, it may infest whole grains such as rice, corn (maize), wheat, etc. These weevils occur world-wide.
