SALUTE TO OUR VETERANS!!

Crossville, TN

I would like to take this time to say THANK YOU to all our VETERANS in Dave's Garden!! With out you, and the service you performed to this great country of ours, there might not be a DG. THANK YOU!!
When I visited my DH at the Tucson V.A. Hospital yesterday, there was a bag of candy, and two wrapped packages from the Davis-Monthan Air Force Enlisted Men's Wives Club at his bedside. Shortly after I got there along came a young man and woman, both in their USAF uniform....going from room to room, talking to these old, and ill veterans. It was a very moving experience for us.

GOD BLESS OUR VETERANS AND OUR MILITARY!!

Our way of life certainly would not be the same if it had not been for the service and sacrifices made by the veterans. Please convey my gratitude to your DH.

Thanks from a Navy vet....I wish all my fellow vets the best. Thanks for all you've done! Thank God for this country we live in. It is the greatest country on earth. It may have it's flaws....but it sure beats the alternatives. Anchors away my friends....:-)

Thank all of your for your well wishes...our Granddaughter, AT3, USN, will be home for a 5 day leave this Thursday...then she will be going out to sea duty...I don't know which Carrier her Air Squadron is assigned to...she and her DH both were in the Persian Gulf last fall...different carriers, and never got to see each other over there. I could at least email them then, but I think with the situation now, they won't be allowed that priviledge.Keep our Military in your thoughts and Prayers! Jo

"It's the Soldier...not the Press!"

It's the Soldier, not the reporter, who has given us Freedom of the Press. It's the Soldier, not the poet, who has given us Freedom of Speech. It's the Soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the Freedom to Demonstrate. It's the Soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the Right to a Fair Trial. It's the Soldier who salutes the Flag, serves under the Flag, and whose coffin is draped by the Flag, who gives the protester the right to burn the Flag.

Thank you Vets!! I married a Navy man who said if he could he would go again. God Bless all who did and will risk their lives so that we can live freely. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. "T" :)

Thanks, folks. We're an Air Force family and I will pass along your kind wishes to my husband. He's been a part of the peace-keeping forces in Bosnia and was sent to Germany the last time they had a build-up of forces in the gulf. We are proud to do what we do.

This was sent to me and I was very moved by it. Have tried to verify it but can't...however it does seem to have been checked out by a "hoax" checking site. My SIL (USN,Ret) said it was probably true...so here goes...Jo

Although not a Vet myself, I grew up on many Navy bases where my father was stationed, and my siblings served: one sister, USN; 2 brothers USAF; and 1 brother USArmy Vietnam Vet.

I honor the commitment ALL present and past US Military men and women make. Thanks.
