Found this waiting on a wall for the morning sun to hit. First time i've seen this one in my garden in Colima, MX. ID appreciated.

Looks like an Amberwing dragonfly, probably female, but I'm not familiar with species in your area..
This does appear to be a a female eastern amberwing, Perithemis tenera – see http://www.insectsofiowa.com/dragonflies/Libellulidae/perithemis%20tenera.htm – This species’ range extends well into Mexico - http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/37912022
Thank you CA and Flap. I agree it appears to be a female eastern amberwing (Perithemis tenera). Thank you both. According to the project noah they have been spotted as far south as Brazil.
