These moths were found last July, does anybody know what they are?
CLOSED: Please ID these moths
Location is presumably somewhere in North America?
Yes, North Carolina to be exact.
The orange moth looks like a spiny oakworm moth – see http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species/Anisota-stigma for an image.
The yellow moth is a geometrid in the genus Xanthotype – see http://www.butterfliesandmoths.org/species/Xanthotype-sospeta for an example.
Looks like it! Thanks! I never thought I'd be able to ID these!
