Here in Tennessee the weather has been terribly cold. My Gardenia tree is awful brown & my Jasmine looks awful brown as well are they dead?
Did the freezing cold weather kill my Gardenia & my Jasmine?
I assume your gardenia is an evergreen like mine. The pictures don't cause one to be very hopeful. The jasmine looks like it has a chance to come back though. I wouldn't do anything until we really have spring weather and see if you see any growth at all. If you get growth at the base of your gardenia, you'll just need to cut off the dead branches and let the plant start all over.

Maybe, maybe not. Don't cut it until late spring. Give it a chance to revive. It might surprise you.
