What I shot here are the remnants of Tulip tree flowers, correct? I've never seen them before.

If seeds (samaras, in the case of Liriodendron tulipifera) are rightly called the remnants of flowers, then you are correct.

Those clusters are aggregations of samaras (formed after the flower was pollinated) which then disintegrate into the individual samaras through the winter and fall to the ground. Look on the ground around this tree, and see if you don't find a passel of these samaras laying around.

Each could become another magnificent specimen like the one you've shown.
