I think these bugs came from outside and moved into a kitchen table that is
topped with a big slab of wood from the roof.
my index finger is there for size, the note says " beetle shape, medium brown color"
Note: this seems to be their adult size.
These beetles look like either cigarette or drugstore beetles, they will feed on an extraordinarily wide variety of organic materials and sometimes can become pantry pests. See http://ohioline.osu.edu/hyg-fact/2000/2083.html
