Silver Spring, MD(Zone 7a)

thanks so much for doing this again, Ric. I'll take:
One 3.8 cu' compressed bale of Pro Mix BX

Silver Spring, MD(Zone 7a)

One Promix BX for me, please! Thanks, Ric!

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

Ric--refresh my mind....please...

What is the "BX" and how does that differ from just plain pro Mix??

Thanks. Gita

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Gita, Bx is most used by everyone, HP has limestone added to adjust the Ph a bit. I've also read some grower say do not feel HP drains as well.

Premier Pro-Mix is a multi-use, lightweight growing mix suitable for seeding applications, indoor or outdoor potting, or re-potting and transplanting. Made with premium Canadian Sphagnum peat moss, it retains moisture longer. It's the professional formula preferred by many greenhouse growers throughout North America and Overseas because it retains moisture longer while providing drainage and aeration for optimum plant growth

Thanks, Ric---

So--the bag I bought at Richardsons is from" Landers" is also Canadian sphagnum peat.

One can, immediately, see the difference in water absorption and retaining it, like you said.
I love it--and am about 1/2 through the first bag. I have a 2nd one waiting.

I was just asking what the "BX" stands for. Is it an additive?

Gita

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Pro-Mix BX with Biofungicide is composed of Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss (75-85 % / vol.); Dolomitic & Calcitic Limestone (pH adjuster); Endomycorrhize (Mycorise Pro); Macronutrients; Perlite (horticural grade); Micronutrients; Vermiculite; and a Wetting Agent.
MYCORISE® PRO ensures stronger, healthier plants due to more developed root systems and better fertilizer uptake.

Two bales of ProMix BX please and thankyou Ric!

Love your tail end pic.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Okay, I have 4 bales of BX to pickup. 1 for Catmint, 1 for SS, and 2 for Coleup.

annapolis, MD(Zone 7b)

Ric, you have dmail!

Silver Spring, MD(Zone 7a)

Thanks Ric! :-)

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

This is not a promise, just a feeler. If anyone attending the swap is interested in Pro-Mix or like products, let's see if I'll do a pick up before the swap..

Prices have been pretty stable so judge from last years cost.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

If this works out, I'd like 1"bale" please, but for me only if it's Pro Mix... I'm just too used to it. THX!

Silver Spring, MD(Zone 7a)

I'm interested in a Pro-Mix BRK!

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

That's okay, I can probably haul 9 bales without a problem.

Odenton, MD(Zone 7b)

I would like a bale of the BM8 if possible.

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Notes to self. Vicki BX, Don BRK either 3.8 or 2-2c', Critter 1 BX, Catbird 1 BM8, SSG 1 BRK, us 2-3 BX.

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Me BX too, please -- that's the "regular" pro mix, right? I'm planning on picking mine up sooner as you suggested but figured I'd add this to your "notes to self" anyway. :-)

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Okay, I will be picking up my order today since we are going away for so long.

If you haven't left yet, please bump me to 2 bales of Pro Mix. Terri & I can pick it up tomorrow. Not sure if she wants some... Maybe a 3rd bale for her and if she doesn't want it I'll take it... I think we might be bringing the minivan anyway, so it should fit. Or give us directions to your source, LOL. Thanks!

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

I did get you 2 Jill, and a spare for me that you can have if you want/need it. LOL

Frederick, MD(Zone 6b)

Thanks! What are you doing up so late? LOL It might be just Terri tomorrow... I seem to be down with some kind of crud and getting wheezy, so I'll head over to the doc in the morning (yay for Saturday clinic hours!) and see what they say. No fever, so it's not flu, but if they think I might be contagious then I will keep my germs to myself and stay home! :-)

Dover, PA(Zone 6b)

Just trying to get over a dose, still snotty and barking but on the mend.

SSG, if you see this I got you a 2.8 cu' of BRK.

Silver Spring, MD(Zone 7a)

Thank you, Ric!
