Morristown, NJ(Zone 6a)

Found this scurrying across my desk at worlk this morning. Im from northern NJ. I never saw a bettle like this. I wish I had clearer photos. Me and my coworkers would like to know what it is. Its brown with a tan in its back, the legs were almost transparent

I think it looks like a baby cockroach.

I've been googling it, no antennas

I really wish I got a better photo. One of the guys squished it :( I hope its not a baby roach. Blah! I feel buggy

That is good. It certainly makes for better conversation tell people about this cute little, exotic beetlius brownii that you found. If it was a baby cockroach, the only person you would want to talk about it with is the exterminator.

Hopefully one of the really bug smart folks drops by soon and give this little guy a real name.

Thanks bluetexasbonnie :)

This is a nymph of a German cockroach, one of the more difficult species to control.

Well, you can now forgive that 'big old cruel guy' that killed the cute little brown beetle. ;-)
