I couldnt believe it tonight coming home from work. someone who lives down the street from me has all their outside decorations up and turned on already. there's masses of it including a huge Santa hugging the chimney. I'll get a photo tomorrow.

this garden is like those I saw in the US last year. so first you give us McDonalds and now ott Christmas decorations.

I saw on our TV about 2 neighbours here in England on a council estate who put christmas decorations up and tried to outdo each other, but they could not afford carpets for their house, stupid idiots, i hate people who go over the top with their decorations both inside and outside, i have found they dont seem to make good neighbours i wonder why not?

Well Mark to match the decorations we have had a bit of snow, our first cold day and its been cold and horrible.

I'd love to see a picture! Sounds neat! Besides Mc Donalds, we can toss you a Burger King, Wendy's and Taco Bell and a Pizza Hut!

We put Christmas lights on the little pumphouse at the beginning of the driveway near the highway 3 years ago and set them on a timer to kick in at dark and off after midnight. DH decided they helped people find the drive at night since there are no street lights here in the country. I thought the neighbors would think we were awful but I let them stay. After about 18 months they started burning out so I unplugged them. A week later we had 5 notes in the mailbox asking if we could please turn them back on. Seems folks were using those lights as a landmark when giving directions...ie go 2 driveways past the lights and turn right or if you reach the lights go back 3 driveways! I ordered 14 yards of topsoil and gave the address. The driver said he was familiar with the area in general but could I tell him if we were befor or after the lights! So it looks like Christmas lights are a year round thing for us! But Santa and the elves are not allowed until after Thanksgiving and have to disappear by January 2!
