Yes, Haystack, I'm really starting to like the birchen modern games. They are supposed to be from some good blood lines. Their black feathers shimmer purple. They are very gentle birds. They haven't caused any problem. I have the trio. I probably shouldn't let them free range before I get some babies from them, but it seems mean not to let them outside with the others. Every night they fly up on the water cooler, and every night I have to pick them up and put them in their little pen for the night, where hopefully they will be safe. So far, so good.

We are having lovely weather here, in the 50s and 60s all week. Crazy weather. It was 5 degrees one night, then 60 the next week.

Green, you do not get to hate winter. You live in Maine and it is not allowed. :) I know what you mean though, just those four or five days when it got down so low here, I wasn't happy. I sure wasn't happy. It seemed to make me feel bad too. The worst part was knowing the donkey was thirsty.

We had frozen fog this morning on everything, the trees we're beautiful. I do love where I live and would never move its just that our winters are so long and cold and this year we have not had a lot of sun, that bothers me,I need to get one of those lights for light depravation to spunk me up

Maybe some vitamin D. All the nutritionists are talking about Vit D. I'm sure I am deficient in it, as I cannot go out in the sun. I can go outside in winter, but never during the day in summer, EVER, or I will catch it big time.

It is so good to see people on here again talking.
