Last week I was on a tour to Dehra Dun in North India. Very close to it is the lower Himalayas and known for its lovely wild flowers and other life. This was actually a tour to play cricket, but I had found time along with team to tour nearby tourist places and I tried to stop and capture what I saw there. Here are some insects I want to identify. Please help.

One is a moth. The Spider was quite huge. 2 inches long - from head downward and had tough web. It was in the forest-like campus we were put up.

The first butterfly is a nymphalid in the genus Acraea; likely Acraea violae, known as the tawny coster - http://www.rgbstock.com/photo/mh5570Y/Tawny+Coster

The dragonfly might be a libellulid in the genus Orthetrum – see http://www.flickr.com/photos/dinesh_valke/4715892965/ for an example.
The spider is a giant/golden silk spider in the genus Nephila – see http://www.spidersofcentralindia.com/nephila-sp-nov-female.php for an example.
Unfortunately, I cannot at this time provide an i.d. for the damselfly or the little white moth.
