Over a week ago, I commented on a new bug addition to BugFiles. http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1339049/. This bug was misidentified and I suggested an identification based upon its physical characteristics. Although the image is fuzzy, it clearly is not a Hummingbird sphinx moth but a Titan sphinx moth.I have not received a response from the submitter but I feel that the bug should be placed in the appropriate file or deleted.
Shorthog
Bug misidentification.
Thanks for spotting that Cliff. I agree with you that it is an image of the Titan Sphinx Moth.
I have created an entry for the Titan Sphinx Moth here:
http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/7122/
and have moved the image to the new page and informed the photographer of the correction,
Ken
