Hi I hope you guys out there could please help me with identifying this spider, the body is approximately 5-7mm I have included 2 more photos one of a garden spider and one of the 4 species of false widow found in the UK. I am confused with the markings.
I found the spider in question on my kitchen window outside. the location is Leicestershire UK

The first spider is one of the so-called 'missing sector' orb weaving spiders in the genus Zygiella - see http://www.uksafari.com/zygiellaxnotata.htm for an example. They are completely harmless...
