Hi folks,
It looks quite common to me, although not an expert. Could you identify this spider at all? We live by the (very cold, wet and windy) Scottish seaside. This little creature has decided to live in between a gap in our window frame for the past week, staying tucked in the frame all day with only its legs visible, and completely coming out during the night to build on it's web across our window.
Anytime we turn on our light, it quickly burrows back in to the window frame.
Thanks!

Looks like a furrow orb weaver; harmless...
