Does this small Bristlecone look healthy to you? I picked it up yesterday and the nursery owner thought it was dead or mostly dead. He gave it to me and said I could pay him next year if it survived winter. Pretty hard to pass on that deal.

If those are not new growth extensions from this year, I'd say you have problems.

ViburnumValley ~ I can't say one way or the other about the growth extension. That probably would've been a good question to ask during my nursery visit.
