CLOSED: Dirt Mound found outddors, inside corner porch

Thanks in advance for any help.
I live in northern VA in a newer house, and was washing my front porch yesterday when I found this outside, on the upper inside corner. Appears to be dry dirt stuck in the corner. Fearing it might be termites, I removed a corner of the dirt and this egg cocoon alien thing fell to the ground.

a) what is it?
b) do I need to call Orkin?
c) what do i do?

This looks like a nest constructed by a wasp in the family Sphecidae (mud daubers, etc.) - no need for a pest controller...
