Bug misidentification

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1332879/ is in error on identification. The butterfly is an American lady rather than a Painted lady which I have noted in a forum message.

I got my statement backwards. Bug is a Painted lady.
My reasoning is: This is a Painted Lady (Vanessa cardui) http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/showimage/1790/
Note the Painted lady has four small eyes below whereas the American lady has two very large eyespots http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/showimage/1537
