Can you tell from this picture what kind of bee this is? I've been seeing a lot of them this year.

I cannot be certain as I cannot see the underside of the abdomen clearly, but this could be a leaf-cutter bee in the family Megachilidae - see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/67413262 for an example. Also, some mining bees in the family Andrenidae can appear similar, but they lack the dense hairs on the underside of the abdomen - see http://www.pbase.com/tmurray74/image/138327357 for an example.
