Just saw this spider working in a big web on the front porch, going around and around. I'm in Bucks County PA (that's in the southeastern part of the state on the NJ border), right near the trees on the edge of a creek.
The spider was probably about 1 inch long.
Is it some kind of a wolf spider, maybe? Or....?
Thanks for any guidance you're able to provide!
CLOSED: Spider with a huge web in Bucks County
Not a Wolf, an Orb Weaver. As with most spiders, it's harmless.
Looks like Neoscona crucifera - http://www.carolinanature.com/spiders/spider2667.jpg
Thank you! I checked some other images Flapdoodle, and I think you're right!
