I don't know what it is. Maybe an ant? Ants around my house are not this big. Or a termite? Please help me. It has 4 "jaws" I would like the specific name if it's possible, thanks.
CLOSED: What insect is this?
This is an arachnid in the order Solifugae. Commonly known as camel spiders, wind scorpions, or sun spiders, they commonly are found in drier areas of the country west of the Mississippi River. As Massachusetts appears to be far out of their normal range, you might contact the University of Massachusetts' Cooperative Extension Service (http://ag.umass.edu/) to see if they know of any other records from the state.
Wow, thank you very much mister Flapdoodle.
