stubborn larvas and butterfly bugs...

tel aviv, Israel

Hello,

More than a year I got this bugs in one room in our house.
I kill them, but they coming back, and multiply in insane rate.

There is the larva [img] (Hard to see: yellow body, black head)

He grow into little butterfly [img] (Black/grey-dirty color, they don't dragged to light - tried light electric fly killer)

Anyone can indentify what is this, and how can I get rid of them for ever?

Thank you!

I think it is some kind of pest moth. There are moths that eat stored food and others eat fibers, for example. To be constantly recurring implies that it is eating something somewhere in that room. OR- it lives somewhere close by and when it wants to pupate, finds an easy entry to that room.

Try to make sure you look at everything stored in that area, for developing caterpillars or tiny silk cocoons.

One of our regular people on this end will probably post soon with more specifics.

We had a problem with these before starting to store all dry food products in sturdy, sealable plastic containers.
