What spider is this!?

I found it in my shower captured it then took it outside. after that my girlfriend's stepfather took it and killed it :(
he thinks it was a brown recluse and i don't believe so. PLease help thank you gies!

It's a wolf spider, your friendly pest controller. Just FYI, recluse spiders lack markings of any kind on their legs...

I was pretty sure it wasnt a recluce, and i told him so but he did not belive me. poor spider :(

It's unfortunate for lots of Wolfs and other spiders that some folks don't understand the insect/spider control they offer. Maybe the next one you find is luckier.

I have 2 lovely adult Wolfs in my basement and my front door has a great Jumping Spider in residence.
