I've been studying my black soldier flies. I have seen BSF around the compost bin, have tons of larvae, and photographed adults. This yellow fly is also gathering around the same bin full of 'soldier fly' larvae. Does this look like a yellow soldier fly?
CLOSED: Yellow soldier fly?
Ptecticus trivittatus was the first yellow soldier fly to come up on bugguide, and it sure looks similar.

Wonderful! Thanks so much!
