Found these two bugs sunbathing on Comfrey leaves. Think they are shield/stink bugs of some description but unable to get positive ID> anyone help?

Appear to be an adult and nymph of a leaf-footed bug (family Coreidae) - see http://www.flickr.com/photos/39361502@N07/8976763307 for an example.

Thanks Flapdoodle, not sure as I cannot see any leaf shape on rear feet. Have taken some better close ups, the colour has certainly changed since this morning from orange to brown-orange. Noticed an even darker specimen and a smaller bug wanting to get in on the pic also.

I'm still certain that these are coreids - in this particular group of species, the leaf-like expansion of the hind legs is absent - see http://www.britishbugs.org.uk/heteroptera/idcards/life_stages_1.html
Also, it is very common for bugs to change colour after molting.

OK I see what you mean, coreid it is. Thanks
