I pulled the cushion off of the swing to dry, and this is what I found...my camera doesn't do well much closer...
Larvae found?
My guess is a sphecid wasp in the genus Isodontia, known as grass-carrying wasps - http://nativeplantwildlifegarden.com/how-to-build-simple-nest-boxes-with-native-plants-for-cavity-nesting-bees/6215_20130128/
