I first noticed this a few days ago on one of the areca palms. Looked again today and it was twice as big as last time...now it is maybe 1/2 inch. Any ideas?
CLOSED: What is this? A nest of some kind?
Could be a case-bearing larva of a moth in the family Psychidae ('bagworms') - see http://www.whatsthatbug.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/bagworm_uruguay_tadeo.jpg for an example.
Thank you!
