My niece moved into her first home last year and was given this gorgeous bush. It made it through the winter in IN, so it's hardy. I've been looking thru files, but so far haven't run across what it is. My mother and grandmother had lots of plants, so it looks familiar, just can't place it.
Can anyone here help?
Thanks,
Kathleen
I should know what this is, but can't ID it...
Common Hibiscus Hibiscus syriacus
Resin
Thanks! Seems like I am only pulling up pics of blooms where the leaves weren't visible enough to compare. I"ll pass the info on to her!
AKA Rose Of Sharon. A tip, to prevent a forest, cut them back before the seed pods open.
Herman
Thanks Herman! My youngest son also has quite a few of these scattered around his house and garage. Started with a pink one and a white one with a maroon center, now has little ones popping up all over around the yard.. LOL
I'll pass on the info for cutting back!
