A Colorful Beetle!

I found this little beetle and would like to find out its positive I.D. It was dead, perhaps, it felt victim to our many spiders in the garden?

This is an unusually colorful click beetle, I cannot provide a specific i.d. at the moment, but if I can identify it later, I will get back to this thread.

Many thanks for your consideration. I appreciate you for being there.

This looks more like a Buprestid (metallic wood-boring beetle) to me than a click beetle. The markings hint at the Red-legged Buprestis (Buprestis rufipes). Have a look here:

flatpickit, that hits a home run! A metallic wood-boring beetle it's! Buprestis rufipes. That latin name (is it?) is a mouthful! Thank you. Thanks to both.

Boyohboyohboyohboy - When I make a mistake, it's a doozy! When I re-examined the images, I cannot for the life of see how I ever came to that conclusion. Thanks very much to flatpickit for straightening this out!

Ooh, may I please ask. When you mentioned of "click beetle" is there any relationship to those beetles that will click there heads when their bodies is being held down by little hands of small children. I was one of those "mean" kids. lol Also aren't they the commonly known as "lighting bugs"?
